Mangroves are the most efficient tree at absorbing Carbon so our manufacturers buy mangrove trees and plant them in managed plantations in Mozambique & Madagascar for every order. They can grow to 2m in 2 years and store carbon in the tree itself and the root structure in the water below.

The roots provide resistance to flooding so the land is not easily washed away and provides habitats for many marine species. The indigenous population that plant the tress have an income as well as fuel for their stoves. The whole planting system is managed by Eden Regeneration who recruit the planters and ensure quality control so the planted Mangroves endure and grow.
